In interior designs shows, it usually shows the designer picking out furniture, or matching fabric, drawing out the rough draft of what the space would look like, etc. The designer would usually have people to figure out all the calculations for him/her - or so it seems. Would an interior designer in real life need to do the calculations / physics?
(For example, if they wanted to hang something from the ceiling, they would need to figure out how much weight it could take, from which angle it could be hung from, etc.)
